This half term, Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is launching its new events theme – and this year is going to be all about native species.
Get up close and personal with the wildlife on your doorstep during our first Nearby Nature event. Running from 10th to 18th February, it will be a week of fun and discovery, with special talks and advice on how to make your own bug hotel at home and the launch of our Nearby Nature trail and bioblitz. Uncover the fantastic native species that live all around us.
February half term is the first holiday of the year and a good chance for families to get out and about and visit their favourite local attractions. The weather doesn’t always play along, but the great thing about Paignton Zoo is that there are plenty of buildings and undercover areas if there should be a shower.
This is also the ideal time to think about getting an Annual Pass. There are lots of benefits to being part of the Paignton Zoo family: it means you can visit Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts and Newquay Zoo as often as you like and enjoy free or discounted entry to eight other zoos.
In addition, junior members can join the zoos’ children’s clubs and take part in exciting activities through the year (there’s an extra charge for events).
You can view more information about our children’s clubs on the Paignton Zoo website, www.paigntonzoo.org.uk.
And importantly, you’ll be supporting our vital conservation work in the UK and overseas.
