The Unseen

Set in England in 1911 – a young woman arrives in a small village to work as a maid in a country house belonging to a Reverend and his wife. Bringing a secret past with her into her new employment, the young woman’s independent and free-spirited nature causes discord in the household, forcing other household members to confront their own morals and prejudices. When a young man arrives, at the invitation of the Reverend, his presence causes a chain of events, in which, jealousy, desire and destructive ambition serve to propel the central characters into a dramatic free fall with terrible consequences.
