This is a wonderful collection of poetry. Duffy’s new book has the clear, accessible and acute language, which makes her writing so remarkable and relatable. Her poetry has the capacity to be both traditional and progressive - following the form and flow of the past and yet exploring contemporary thought and expression to which we can all understand and be moved by. In her treatment of subjects, ranging from love to politics, the everyday to the moments we cannot ever forget, Duffy takes these ideas, moments and ideals, and uses language at its most splendid and creative  to allow the reader a way of capturing life in short, all-encompassing frames.
